PIONEER REQUIEM

This piece was done to honor the pioneer women who migrated West, sometimes losing loved ones on the way.  I wanted to show the mother kneeling at the little grave, baby blanket in hand.  The road behind her beckons her onward, to leave the little one behind.

Sorrowful Angel

The soldier stamps are antiques found at an estate sale.  Other stamps used are:  hill (Stampendous), branch (Art Impressions); seated angel (Above the Mark). Colored mostly with Radiant Pearls.
