Declaration of Love

Here is a short tutorial for this piece:
Stamp image on scrap paper and cut out.  Using a pencil, trace the image onto heavy patterned cardstock.  Staying inside the penciled outline, remove  the outer layer of the cardstock with sandpaper.  When the white core is reached, use a stamp positioner to stamp the image into the white hole created for it.  In this case I used brown ink to match the colors of the cardstock.  Using a Copic marker in a shade darker than the original cardstock background, color the background leaving selected images untouched.  Sponge edges with gold pigment ink pad.
Color the prince and princess with Copic markers.  Layer over a piece of the original uncolored cardstock and layer that over an additional matching paper.  Add “love” brad.

Candy Canes

The candy canes are precut plastic confetti hung on to a strand of sparkly yarn.  I added liquid glass to the "happy holidays" for a glossy effect.  The girl is by Third Coast Stamps and the words are from Stamp Affair.

Celtic Stag

Celtic Seahorse

colored with Radiant Pearls and coated with several layers of clear embossing powder for a jeweled look; part of the stamped image was cut out and then the circle border was sewn to the background papers using glitter string

Sweet Steampunk

This was a chance to play "paper dolls" by dressing up the iconic woman as a steampunk beauty.  I added goggles with clear green lenses, and "dressed" her, as the stamp is only from the neck up.

GOT STEAMPUNK?

Tried something new with this one.  I took some Architex adhesive tiles by EK Success and placed them in a grid pattern.  Using heavy snips I cut some tiles to place in between the circles.  The steampunk dog was stamped onto the tiles with StazOn ink and colored with Copic markers.  All pieces were layered over an old piece of window screen and held together with screwhead brads.

THE YEAR 1902

I love to collect vintage ephemera to use in collages.  This piece uses an original receipt from 1902, an old photo, and an old postage stamp.  The steampunk watch is rubber stamped on vellum that has old postcards printed on it and then colored on the back of the paper.  This patterned vellum is layered over scrapbook paper that has clock images.

STEAMPUNK EYES

STEAMPUNK POLLY

This piece was created with two stamps from Third Coast Rubber Stamps.  Colored with Copic markers and pieced over printed scrapbook paper.  It was published in Just Steampunk!  issue of Just Cards! Vol. 2, 2012

THE END OF THE JOURNEY

As the knights near the end of their journey, the lovely maiden also departs, her watchful presence never noted by those below.
The frame of this piece is a piece of  scroll scrapbook paper cut down to fit.

SHIPWRECKED STOWAWAY

Our heroine is not sure she is better off as a stowaway, or being cast onto an island with this sword wielding creature.

I WANT A REAL HORSE!

TENUOUS ALLIANCE

Will the offering she gives the beast be enough to persuade him to give her a ride?
Stamps used:  winged creature is Stampsmith; woman is Third Coast; pot is Stamp Affair; mountains are Stampscapes; brush/trees are Club Scrap; all other stamps unknown
