THE END OF THE JOURNEY

As the knights near the end of their journey, the lovely maiden also departs, her watchful presence never noted by those below.
The frame of this piece is a piece of  scroll scrapbook paper cut down to fit.

SHIPWRECKED STOWAWAY

Our heroine is not sure she is better off as a stowaway, or being cast onto an island with this sword wielding creature.

finding inspiration

I find inspiration in lots of places:  paintings, nature, and even ads.  This Lancome ad caught my eye with its color scheme, so I dug through my stamps to find anything that sort of matched.  This is the result :-)  Note:  the woman stamp can be found facing the other direction at Golden Acorn stamps.  I am not sure of the source of my left facing stamp.

PIONEER REQUIEM

This piece was done to honor the pioneer women who migrated West, sometimes losing loved ones on the way.  I wanted to show the mother kneeling at the little grave, baby blanket in hand.  The road behind her beckons her onward, to leave the little one behind.

KITTENS!

These little girls remind me of my mother and her sister at that age.  My mom, Marjorie, had beautiful red hair, and her sister Helen had dark straight hair worn in the style shown.
